๐ Detailed Policy Changes
Below are the specific amendments to our Terms of Service and Platform Policy. Affected clauses are highlighted for easy reference.
- Payment Processing (Section 4.2): Funds from successfully funded campaigns will now be disbursed within 5 business days of campaign closure. Previously, processing could take up to 21 days. Platform fees remain at 5% + payment processing costs.
- Creator Identity Verification (Section 3.1): Creators must verify government-issued ID and banking details before launching campaigns exceeding $10,000. Verification typically takes 24โ48 hours. Unverified accounts will be paused pending completion.
- Backer Protections & Disputes (Section 7.4): All refund requests and delivery disputes will now be acknowledged within 48 hours. RaiseIt mediation can hold funds in escrow during investigation. Fraudulent or non-compliant campaigns may have funds withheld per the revised Trust & Safety policy.
- Campaign Content Standards (Section 2.5): Stricter transparency requirements for pre-orders. Creators must clearly state manufacturing timelines, fulfillment partners, and realistic delivery windows. Vague or misleading claims will result in immediate campaign review.
- Data Privacy & Tracking (Section 9.0): We no longer sell user data to third parties. Cookie preferences and tracking consent are now granular. Users can download or delete their complete data profile at any time via Account Settings.
โ ๏ธ Important: Campaigns launched before November 15, 2025, will continue under the previous policy terms until completion. New campaigns will automatically adopt these updated standards.
