Trip Overview
Embark on one of South America's most iconic treks through the dramatic landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park. The W Trek takes you past towering granite spires, ancient glaciers, lush native forests, and pristine alpine lakes. Over five days, our expert guides will lead you along well-established trails while ensuring you experience the raw, untamed beauty of Patagonia at a comfortable pace. Small group sizes guarantee personalized attention, premium refugio accommodations, and gourmet meals prepared with local ingredients.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Transfer to the park entrance and begin your trek through lush lenga and ñirre forests. Cross the Los Cuernos River via suspension bridge and ascend gently toward Refugio Grey, nestled at the base of the massive Grey Glacier. Overnight in a premium mountain lodge with dinner and breakfast included.
Morning options include a guided kayak trip on Grey Lake or a short hike to the glacier viewpoint. In the afternoon, trek along the western shore of Grey Lake, passing stunning blue-ice formations before reaching the cozy Refugio Paine Grande for the night.
Today's trek follows the eastern shore of Lake Nordenskjöld. After a steady climb, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the iconic Paine Horns reflected in the turquoise waters. Set up camp or check into the refugio and enjoy a relaxing evening as the light shifts across the peaks.
The most challenging day: ascend to Las Torres viewpoint for the classic sunrise photo opportunity. Descend through open valleys and native shrublands to Refugio Frances, positioned directly beneath the towering spires of the Paine Massif.
A shorter, scenic walk through open Patagonian steppe to complete the W circuit. Celebrate your achievement with a farewell lunch before transferring back to Puerto Natales. Optional evening wine tasting and group dinner included.
