Whether you're restoring historic details or installing modern minimalist lines, our craftsmen ensure seamless joints, perfect reveals, and flawless finishes.

Why Millwork Matters

Trim & Millwork FAQ

What materials do you recommend for interior trim?
We typically recommend poplar for painted applications due to its fine grain and affordability. For stained trim, we use select pine, red oak, or hardwoods like maple and cherry depending on your budget and desired look. MDF is excellent for crown molding that will be painted, as it machines smoothly and resists warping.
How long does a full trim installation take?
For an average 3-bedroom home, baseboards, door casings, and crown molding typically take 3-5 days to install. Larger projects, custom wainscoting, or historic restorations may take longer. We always provide a detailed timeline before starting.
Do you paint and finish the trim, or do I need a separate painter?
Both options are available. We offer a premium finishing service that includes sanding, priming, and 2 coats of paint or stain. Alternatively, we can deliver prepped, patched, and sanded trim ready for your preferred painting contractor. We'll coordinate seamlessly either way.
Can you match existing trim in older homes?
Yes. We specialize in profile matching and historical restoration. We use a molding scanner to replicate exact profiles, source period-appropriate materials, and repair or replace damaged sections so the final result looks original and cohesive.
Is your trim installation warranty covered?
Absolutely. All our millwork installations come with a 5-year workmanship warranty covering gaps, settling issues, and fastening failures. We also guarantee material quality and will replace any defective pieces at no cost.
