"I walked in knowing absolutely nothing about boxing. After 6 months with Coach Diego, I competed in my first amateur bout and won by decision. The progression here is incredible."

Common Questions

Got questions about our boxing and MMA programs? We've got answers.

Do I need any prior experience to start?
+
Absolutely not! Our Foundation-level classes are designed for complete beginners. We start with basic stance, footwork, and fundamental movements. Our coaches are experienced at teaching people from zero experience and will progress you at your own pace. All you need is the willingness to learn and push yourself.
What equipment do I need to bring?
+
For your first few classes, we provide all necessary equipment including hand wraps, gloves, and headgear. We recommend purchasing your own 12-16oz boxing gloves, hand wraps, and mouthguard within your first month. For BJJ, you'll need a gi (traditional uniform) and rash guard. We have a retail shop on-site with competitive pricing.
Will I be forced to spar?
+
No, sparring is always voluntary. You'll be matched with partners of similar skill level and weight class. We also offer technical sparring where the focus is on technique rather than power. You control your pace and can always opt for pad work and drilling if you prefer. Our coaches always prioritize safety and will never pressure you into sparring.
Can I switch between boxing and MMA classes?
+
Yes! Our membership includes access to all boxing, MMA, BJJ, wrestling, and Muay Thai classes. Many of our members train boxing on some days and BJJ or wrestling on others to develop a well-rounded skill set. This cross-training approach is also great for overall fitness and prevents plateaus.
Do you prepare people for professional fights?
+
Yes, we have a dedicated Fight Prep program for members interested in amateur or professional competition. This includes tailored training camps, sparring partners, fight strategy development, weight management guidance, and coordination with commissions. Several of our members have gone on to compete at regional and national levels.
What's the minimum age to join the program?
+
Our youth boxing program starts at age 8, focusing on fitness, discipline, and basic technique without any sparring. Teen programs (ages 14+) can include light technical sparring. Adult classes are open to anyone 16 and older, though we recommend being 18+ for full MMA and sparring classes. We also have senior-friendly classes for ages 60+.
