All compostable products are biodegradable, but not all biodegradable products are compostable. Compostable means the product will break down into natural elements (water, CO₂, biomass) within a specific timeframe under industrial composting conditions. Our Eco-Line products meet ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 standards for industrial compostability, typically decomposing within 90 days.
Some of our products, like bagasse containers and paper-based cups, can be home composted. PLA-lined products and PLA cups require industrial composting facilities that maintain higher temperatures. We clearly label each product with its composting instructions so you know exactly how to dispose of them properly.
Absolutely. Our compostable cups and bowls undergo rigorous testing for leak resistance, heat retention, and structural integrity. PLA-lined cups handle hot beverages up to 90°C, and bamboo fiber bowls are heat-resistant to 100°C. They also offer a premium look and feel that many customers prefer over plastic.
For standard (non-custom) Eco-Line products, there's no minimum order quantity — order as little as you need. For custom-branded orders, the minimum is typically 5,000 units per SKU, though we're happy to discuss smaller runs for new businesses making the switch to sustainable packaging.
