Program FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your polar expedition.

Not necessarily. Our Greenland and Norway itineraries are designed for intermediate hikers with good fitness. Svalbard and Alaska require advanced cold-weather hiking experience. We provide a pre-trip fitness & gear checklist, and our guides will assess readiness during orientation.
Safety is non-negotiable. If sea ice conditions are unsafe, we activate contingency routes: alternate glacier access, coastal trekking, or extended cultural/photography workshops. Full refunds apply only if core itinerary objectives cannot be met for 48+ hours.
We provide group tripods, weather-sealed camera dry boxes, and lens cleaning kits for extreme cold. Personal cameras are recommended. We also offer pro photography add-ons including drone permits and masterclass sessions with our lead visual artist.
We understand polar plans shift. Full refund up to 90 days before departure. 50% refund at 60 days. Trip credit valid for 24 months at 30 days. We highly recommend booking our Polar Protection Rider for weather/medical coverage.
