Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common safety and gear questions from past adventurers.

What if I forget a required gear item?
We conduct a mandatory gear check 48 hours before departure. If you're missing a required item, our partner outdoor stores offer discounted emergency rentals, or we can arrange shipping to the trailhead at an additional cost. However, we strongly advise packing everything on the list beforehand.
Do you provide tents and cooking equipment?
Yes. All group trips include 4-season tents, sleeping pads, dining tents, and communal cooking equipment. Personal gear (clothing, footwear, water filters, and small items) is the responsibility of the participant. Solo expeditions have different equipment packages.
How do you handle altitude sickness?
Acclimatization is built into every itinerary exceeding 3,000m. Guides carry supplemental oxygen, pulse oximeters, and Diamox. We follow strict ascent profiles and will descend immediately if symptoms exceed mild classifications.
Is travel insurance mandatory?
While not legally required in all regions, we mandate comprehensive travel insurance that covers emergency medical evacuation and adventure activities for all trips outside of North America. We verify coverage before issuing final permits.
