Safety FAQs

Common questions from adventurers about our safety practices, insurance, and risk management.

We strongly recommend comprehensive adventure travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking, emergency medical evacuation, and trip cancellation. We partner with Global Rescue and can provide policy recommendations upon booking.

Client safety always comes first. If conditions become unsafe, your guide has full authority to reroute, delay, or cancel the trip. Full refunds or alternative trip credits are provided with zero penalties for safety-related changes.

It depends on the expedition difficulty level. We clearly mark each trip's fitness and experience requirements. For beginner-friendly trips, no prior experience is neededโ€”just a reasonable level of fitness and enthusiasm.

All meals are prepared with food safety protocols. We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, and major allergies. Please note severe allergies during booking so our camp kitchen can prepare specialized meals safely.

Cell service is unreliable in many backcountry regions. That's why every team carries Iridium satellite communicators that work globally. You can call for emergency assistance anywhere we operate.
