Common Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your surf expedition.

Do I need my own surfboard or gear? +
No! All surf expeditions include premium boards, leashes, wetsuits (when needed), and rash guards. If you prefer your own gear, we allow personal boards at your own risk, subject to guide approval for safety conditions.
What happens if the swell is bad? +
Our guides monitor swell forecasts 72 hours in advance. If conditions drop below our safety/quality threshold, we relocate to backup breaks, schedule surf school drills, or adjust the itinerary. Partial refunds apply if no rideable waves occur for 2+ consecutive days.
Is the trip suitable for solo travelers? +
Absolutely. 60% of our surf travelers join solo. You'll be paired with a small group (max 8 surfers) and assigned a dedicated surf coach. Group socials, beach BBQs, and shared vans make solo surfing an easy, social experience.
What safety protocols do you follow? +
Every guide holds ISA/CSIA certification + First Aid/Water Rescue training. We carry portable AEDs, rescue buoys, and maintain a 1:4 instructor-to-surfer ratio for beginner/intermediate trips. Advanced trips include dedicated safety boats and local lifeguard coordination.
