Communication Standards

• ✓ Sharing honest reviews, tasting notes, and feedback about our products
• ✓ Asking thoughtful questions about our farming practices, sourcing, and chocolate-making process
• ✓ Participating in discussions about sustainable agriculture and ethical sourcing

Content Sharing

• ✓ Posting photos and reviews of your Terroir Cocoa products (with proper attribution)
• ✓ Sharing recipes and creative uses of our chocolate in your own culinary creations
• ✓ Writing about your farm tour or event experiences on your personal blogs or social media
• ✓ Recommending our products to friends, family, and colleagues

Event Participation

• ✓ Engaging respectfully with our staff, chocolatiers, and fellow attendees
• ✓ Following safety guidelines during farm tours and tastings
• ✓ Asking permission before photographing other participants
• ✓ Treating our farm, crops, and facilities with care and respect

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in enforcement action:

Harassment & Discrimination

• ✗ Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind — whether based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
• ✗ Hate speech, slurs, or degrading language directed at any individual or group
• ✗ Unwanted sexual attention, comments, or advances toward staff, customers, or other community members

Fraudulent Activity

• ✗ Submitting false reviews, fake accounts, or manufactured feedback (positive or negative)
• ✗ Attempting to exploit promotional offers, discounts, or referral programs through deceptive means
• ✗ Using automated bots or scripts to interact with our website or ordering systems

Intellectual Property Violations

• ✗ Reproducing, redistributing, or claiming ownership of our proprietary recipes, branding, or marketing materials
• ✗ Creating counterfeit or imitative products using our trademarks, packaging designs, or product names

Disruptive Behavior

• ✗ Spreading misinformation about our sourcing, farming practices, or product quality with the intent to harm our reputation
• ✗ Disrupting events, farm tours, or tastings through unruly or dangerous behavior
• ✗ Attempting to access restricted areas of our farm or production facilities without authorization

We value authentic feedback. When posting reviews on our website or third-party platforms, please ensure your feedback is based on a genuine purchasing experience. Constructive criticism is welcome; fabricated reviews are not.

Our farm tours, tasting events, and workshops are special experiences that require mutual respect for our land, our team, and other visitors.

Farm Tour Rules

• ✓ Stay on designated paths and guided routes at all times
• ✓ Do not touch, harvest, or remove any crops, plants, or produce without explicit permission
• ✓ Wear appropriate footwear and attire for walking on farmland
• ✓ Listen to your guide's instructions regarding safety and crop protection
• ✓ Keep noise levels considerate to respect our working farm environment

Tasting Event Etiquette

• ✓ Arrive on time and check in at the registration desk
• ✓ Follow the tasting guide's instructions for proper chocolate evaluation
• ✓ Share tasting stations and materials courteously with other participants
• ⚠ Inform staff of any allergies or dietary restrictions before the event begins
• ✗ Alcohol consumption is not permitted at our chocolate tasting events unless specifically provided

Workshop Participation

• ✓ Follow all safety guidelines when using chocolate-making equipment
• ✓ Keep workspaces clean and organized for fellow participants
• ✓ Take only the samples and take-home items provided for your ticket

Terroir Cocoa's brand, recipes, product formulations, photography, written content, and website design are protected by intellectual property law. We welcome sharing and celebration of our products, but within these boundaries:

What You May Do

• ✓ Share personal photos of our products on social media
• ✓ Write reviews and blog posts about your experience with our chocolate
• ✓ Create derivative recipes using our products as ingredients
• ✓ Quote short excerpts from our website content with proper attribution

What You May Not Do

• ✗ Reproduce our packaging designs, labels, or branding materials
• ✗ Use our name, logo, or trademarks in your own commercial products or services without a licensing agreement
• ✗ Republish our website content, articles, or photography in full on your own website
• ✗ Attempt to reverse-engineer our chocolate formulations or production methods

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this User Conduct Policy, we encourage you to report it. All reports are handled with confidentiality and taken seriously.

What to Include in Your Report

• ℹ A description of the behavior or incident, including dates and times
• ℹ The platform or context where the behavior occurred (website, event, social media)
• ℹ Any supporting evidence (screenshots, photos, witness information)
• ℹ Your contact information (unless submitting anonymously)

When a violation is reported and confirmed, we take proportionate action based on the severity and context of the behavior. Our enforcement framework is transparent and consistent:

Appeals Process

If you believe an enforcement action was applied in error, you may submit an appeal within 14 days of the action date. Appeals are reviewed by our Community Standards Committee, and a final decision will be communicated within 7 business days.

• ℹ The Committee's decision is final and not subject to further review

Terroir Cocoa reserves the right to modify or update this User Conduct Policy at any time. When changes are made:

• ℹ The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised
• ℹ Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users
• ℹ A summary of changes will be posted on our website for 30 days following the update
• ℹ Continued use of our services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy
