Water Expedition Essentials

Everything you need to know before you paddle, dive, or sail.

Do I need prior experience or certifications?
For beginner and intermediate trips, no experience is required. We provide full gear training and safety briefings. For advanced whitewater and technical diving, relevant certifications or prior guided trip completion may be required. Check each expedition page for specifics.
What gear is provided vs. what should I bring?
We provide all technical watercraft, safety gear, drysuits/wetsuits, paddles, and camp equipment. You'll need personal clothing, quick-dry layers, sun protection, and a waterproof camera if desired. A detailed packing list is emailed 30 days before departure.
How do weather and water conditions affect trips?
Safety is our absolute priority. We monitor forecasts continuously and have flexible routing. If conditions become unsafe, we adjust the itinerary or offer full credit/refund. Our guides are trained in dynamic risk assessment for rivers, seas, and lakes.
Are trips suitable for solo travelers or families?
Absolutely. Solo travelers often join our expeditions and form lasting bonds. Family trips are available for certain routes (ages 12+ for whitewater, 10+ for sea kayaking). We offer bunk-sharing options to reduce solo supplements.
